My Approach
At Family First Mental Health Services, I believe mental health care should feel human, respectful, and collaborative, not rushed or one-size-fits-all. My approach is integrative and patient-centered, grounded in careful psychiatric assessment, evidence-based treatment, and genuine partnership.
I work with individuals to address mental health symptoms while also exploring contributing factors such as stress, past experiences, sleep, nutrition, and life transitions, when clinically appropriate. I approach care through a trauma-informed lens, recognizing the importance of safety, trust, and understanding in the healing process.
Each care plan is thoughtfully individualized and may include medication management, therapeutic interventions, lifestyle education, and psychoeducation, within the scope of practice of a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My goal is to help patients feel heard, supported, and empowered as they move toward greater stability, insight, and sustainable mental wellness.
Medication Guidance (Collaborative Medication Management
When appropriate, we provide patient-centered, collaborative medication management. We carefully review your symptoms, history, and personal preferences to determine if medications may support your mental health goals. Our approach emphasizes education, transparency, and ongoing monitoring to ensure safety and effectiveness.
What makes our medication guidance unique is the integration with psychotherapy and lifestyle interventions. Clients receive a holistic plan that combines clinical expertise with personal insight, so medications are part of a broader, individualized strategy for mental wellness, not the only solution. This ensures every treatment decision is thoughtful, safe, and aligned with your values.
